Our history and purpose

The reason why we provide a digital communication platform for the hospitality and accommodation industry is quite simple. 

Our platform began coming to life in 2016 and is a result of our founders, Steen and Christian’s great idea of creating a digital substitute to the traditional guest directory found throughout every hotel room. The core purpose was to ease the workload of the personnel, bring the hotels even closer to their guests and contribute to the green contribution of the industry. Steen has more than 20 years of experience with guest-related communication in the hotel industry and Christian has over 10 years of experience with digital communication. Together they began pitching their digital guestbook for the Danish hotel industry, which has resulted in many excellent colleagues choosing to digitize their guest experience and communication.

Our vision and company values

Our vision is clear. At DigitalGuest we strive to contribute to the sustainable development of the hospitality industry by becoming the industry’s preferred digital platform for guest communication. Our vision directs our daily work and is the sole reason why DigitalGuest is currently present in not only one but five countries. Consequently, much has happened since our launch in 2016. Luckily, much has also remained the same. We’re still guided by the same purpose, we’re still passionate about the hospitality industry and we’re still working according to the same company values. We don't see ourselves as tech-geeks or hardcore salespeople but rather as colleagues of the hospitality industry. Thus, we don't sell our product on unjustified grounds, as we're genuinely interested in our customers' success.

We have thorough knowledge of our customers' daily routines and processes and are equally grounded and down-to-earth in our way of communicating.

Good listeners

We listen to our customers because no one understands the need of the hospitality industry better than they do.

In constant movement

In close collaboration with our customers, we're constantly making further developments to our platform. For which reason, our platform has developed into being much more, than just a digital version of the traditional room folder.
